"In dozens of interviews across the country, sadness was a universal theme as people contemplated the loss of 2,000 American service members. Many also were angry — or anxious — as they talked about how long the war might go on. Some said the only way to honor the war dead was to finish the job that was started when the U.S. invaded Baghdad in March 2003."The only way to honor "the war dead" (a much higher number on the Iraqui side than on the American side) is for the Bush administration to admit its crimes, and back off responsibly from its war of agression, so that no more soldiers die or kill in the pursuit of the crooked neo-conservative agenda, which even now is plotting to engage Iran and Syria.
“But he has nothing on at all,” said a little child at last. . . . and one whispered to the other what the child had said. “But he has nothing on at all,” cried at last the whole people. That made a deep impression upon the emperor, for it seemed to him that they were right; but he thought to himself, “Now I must bear up to the end.” And the chamberlains walked with still greater dignity, as if they carried the train which did not exist.
